The new Real Colors paint range is a very special step forward for AK. AK Real Colors are state-of-the-art lacquer based paints developed in our own laboratories. Our goal was to create the highest quality paint with a chemical formula and color accuracy superior to other brands on the market. The range of military colors covers both aircraft and AFV colors from the First World War to the present day. Some colors are referenced to RAL and Federal Standard charts, others are based on original colors. Lacquer paints are solvent based. Although lacquer paints are not the most suitable for hand painting, they are excellent for airbrushing, with great coverage and a very smooth paint. When dry, they are the most durable of the three types of paint and also the fastest curing. They are very popular with modelers because of their wide range and reliable colors.
